Veronica Graham is a new media artist and printmaker based in Oakland, CA. Inspired by today’s rapidly changing environment, she sees her art practice as a form of world building. Each work is the creation of place or artifact, calling attention to how fiction is woven into our reality. In 2010 she founded Most Ancient, a design studio focused on experimental comics and exploration games. Her books have been collected by MoMA, The New York Public Library, and The Library of Congress. She is now designing the virtual world. Graham’s first VR environment  “The Muybridge Mausoleum” was completed in 2017 and she is currently building “Diatribes”, a haunted house that explores fears about global warming. Her Virtual Reality projects have been presented at Kala Art Institute, Women’s Studio Workshop, San Francisco Art Book Fair, and Printed Matter (NYC). In addition to her own practice, Graham is an active member on SFMoMA’s Games Advisory Board and an arts educator who has taught classes on digital tools for printmakers at San Francisco Art Institute and is currently lecturing on world building for Virtual Reality at Stanford University.

Graham’s work is available at Most Ancient, Women’s Studio Workshop, Kala Art Institute, Passages Bookshop, Printed Matter, Quimby’s, BATT Coop, E.M. Wolfman, Needles And Pens, itch.io and Steam.
