A book of interpermeating layers, LODE is also a collection of fading impressions left after looking into Nevada’s boom and bust culture of the late 19th century. While the graphical landscapes come and go as you flip through, the pattern of mine shafts puncture the entire design to hint at the time-rending impact of human whimsy.

The Bonus Map installation tiled the walls of CELLspace’s gallery with silk screened swatches. It mimicked the pattern mapping in classic video games and Japanese wood blocks creating a “landscape mosaic”.
